Berea Troop 215

     Welcome to our troop! We will be using this site to
keep our members up to date with all of the
happenings of our troop. We hope you'll use
and enjoy features such as the online
calendar and photo gallery! Suggestions
and comments on this site are always
welcome!
     Berea Boy Scout Troop 215 was first
chartered in 1930 by the First Congregational
United Church of Christ and had its first
Eagle Scout in 1933. On September 1, 2008
the troop moved to The Berea Elks Lodge
#1815, located at 626 N. Rocky River Dr.
Numerous Boy Scouts have gone through
the ranks since then.
The troop will be made up of new Boy
Scouts and Cub Scouts
who have come up through the Cub Scout
ranks and have crossed over into Boy
Scouts. The Troop is open to boys of any
religion.
Boy Scout Membership is open to any boy
who: is at least 11 years old and under 18
years old, OR has earned the Arrow of Light
in Cub Scouting. Scouts wishing to transfer
from another Troop must follow a specific
procedure!
     Regular Troop meetings are scheduled
for Tuesday nights from 6:30pm to 8:00pm
at The Berea Elks Lodge. The first Tuesday
of the month meeting is from 6:00pm to
7:00pm.
The meeting room is open from
6:00pm to 6:30pm for scouts who want to
come in early and work on projects,
homework or Merit Badges. The Troop
Committee meeting is scheduled for the
3rd Tuesday of the month.
During summertime, we will
meet at Wallace Lake, except during
bad weather or prior notification.
     Events and activities already scheduled
are: camping, hiking, community service
projects, parades, summer camp and
numerous merit badge earning
activities, just to name a few, intertwined
with Boy Scout rank advancement
requirements. Scouts will have the opportunity
to tailor and add events to suit the Spirit of the
Troop.
